This year has gone so quickly! My course is now officially finished for 2016 and the first semester is complete, so I thought I'd make a quick post to sum everything up before I head home for the holidays!
This year has been incredible. Even working in retail to save for my course was a good experience for me and last year I'd have never have guessed I'd have ended up here, studying on an internationally renowned course with so many genuinely wonderful people!
Poole is a really beautiful place too, so I'm really happy with my accommodation choice, even if it's a little far out from the Uni, look at these gorgeous winter sun sets!
Similarly to Falmouth, there always seems to be a lot going on in the town :) Which is always nice!
I have learned so much in these past few months and can't wait to continue sharing with you all the work I produce next year, our group project is coming up, which is exciting and we've got a lot more animation body mechanics workshops and lectures in the new year, which I'm looking forward to a lot! I'm already noticing a marked improvement on the work I was producing last year, so that can only be positive!
We got our feedback and grades for our Bouncing ball and Billy Bob pre-production and I'm pleased to say I passed both with a distinction, which was an unexpected, but awesome surprise! :)
I'm not going to make a 2016 showreel just yet, as I'd like to wait a couple of months into next year, when I'll have more content to add to it, but keep an eye out for it!
I'll leave you with a photo of our class, after freezing to death filming walk cycles at 9am on a cold winters day! :) Everyone is so lovely, I almost wish this course was a 3 year one, so we could work together more! But I'm happy that these are people I'll likely run into if I get into industry one day, our class is filled to the brim with some of the kindest, talented, most genuine people I've ever met!
I hope everyone has an awesome Christmas/Holiday and I'm looking forward to blogging more about my progress in the new year!
